Sulaymān ibn Abī Shaykh narrated to me; Abu Sufyān al-Himyari passed it on, from al-‘Awwām ibn Hawshab, who said: “We accompanied Ibrāhīm al-Taymī as he was being taken to al-Ḥajjāj’s prison. We said to him, ‘Give us some advice.’ He replied, ‘My counsel is that you remember me before the Lord who is above the lord to whom Joseph asked to be remembered.’”
