Abu Bakr ibn Abi al-Dunyā said: Dawud ibn Rashid narrated to us; al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated, from Khulaid ibn Diʿlij, from al-Hasan, who said: “Had consolation ever been due to anyone on account of tribulation, the family of Jacob would have deserved it, for hardship dogged them for 80 years.”
