39 – Al-Qāsim ibn Hāshim narrated to us; al-Khaṭṭāb ibn ʿUthmān narrated to us; Muḥammad ibn ʿUmar, from a man of Kūfa, reported: Gabriel—peace be upon him—entered upon Joseph in the prison and said, “O noble one, who put you in here with me?” He replied, “You are the one who brought me in.” Gabriel said, “Say: ‘O Allah, O Witness who is never absent, O Near One who is never far, O Victorious One who is never overcome, grant me relief and a way out of my affair, and provide for me from where I do not expect.’”
