25 – ʿĀṣim ibn ʿUmar ibn ʿAlī ibn Muqaddam narrated to me; he said: my father narrated to us, from Sufyān al-Thawrī, who said: I heard Bashīr Abū Ismāʿīl relate from ⦗43⦘ Sayyār Abū Ḥamzah, from Ṭāriq ibn Shihāb, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Masʿūd, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “When a person is struck by a need and lays it before other people, that need will never be satisfied. But if he lays it before Allah, Allah will quickly provide for him—either by an immediate relief or by prompt sustenance.”
