20 – Muhammad ibn Ishaq narrated to us; Saʿid ibn Abi Maryam narrated to us; Nafiʿ ibn Yazid narrated to us; he said: Ayyaash ibn ʿAbbas narrated to us that ʿAbd al-Malik ibn Nafiʿ al-Maʿafiri informed him that Jaʿfar ibn ʿAbd Allah ibn al-Hakm informed him, from Khalid ibn Rafiʿ, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Ibn ⦗41⦘ Masʿud:

“Do not overburden yourself with anxiety. Whatever has been decreed will surely come to pass, and whatever provision has been allotted to you will certainly reach you.”
