2 – Muhammad ibn ʿAbd Allah al-Azdi narrated to us: Hammad ibn Waqid reported to us. He said: I heard Israʾil ibn Yunus relate from Abu Ishaq al-Hamdani, from Abu al-Ahwas, from ʿAbd Allah ibn Masʿud, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Ask Allah for His bounty, for Allah loves to be asked for His bounty, and the finest act of worship is to wait in hopeful expectation for deliverance.”
