19 – ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ṣāliḥ al-Azdi related to us; Abū Rawḥ—one of the people of Marw—narrated to us, from Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah. He said:

Muhammad ibn ʿAlī passed by Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir and asked, “Why do I see you so distressed?”

Abū Ḥāzim replied, “It is a debt that has weighed heavily upon him.”

Muhammad ibn ʿAlī said, “Then open a way for him through supplication.”

“Yes,” was the reply. ⦗40⦘ Then he added, “Blessed indeed is the servant whose need causes him to increase his supplication to his Lord, whatever that need may be.”
