15 – Yaʿqūb ibn Ibrāhīm al-ʿAbdī narrated to us; ⦗37⦘ Ismāʿīl ibn Ibrāhīm narrated to us, from Manṣūr ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, who said:
“I was sitting with al-Ḥasan when a man said to me, ‘Ask him about the words of Allah: “No calamity strikes the earth or your own selves except that it is inscribed in a Book before We bring it into being” (al-Ḥadīd 57:22).’
So I asked him, and he replied, ‘Glory be to Allah! Who could ever doubt this? Every disaster between heaven and earth is already written in the Book before a single soul is created.’”
