Shuhda bint Ahmad ibn al-Faraj ibn ʿUmar al-Ibri—celebrated as “the Scribe” and hailed as the pride of women—may Allah have mercy on her, related to us; the material was read aloud in her presence. She was told: “The distinguished naqib, Abu al-Fawaris Tirad ibn Muhammad ibn ʿAli ibn al-Hasan al-Zaynabi, may Allah protect him, granted you an ijaza and informed you.”

Abu al-Husayn ʿAli ibn Muhammad ibn ʿAbd Allah ibn Bishran reported that Abu ʿAli al-Husayn ibn Safwan al-Bardhaʿi informed him, who said: Abu Bakr ʿAbd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn ʿUbayd ibn Abi al-Dunya narrated to us, saying:

1 – Abu Saʿid ʿAbd Allah ibn Shabib ibn Khalid al-Madini narrated to us: Ishaq ibn Muhammad al-Farawi told us: Saʿid ibn Muslim ibn Banak related to me from his father that he heard ʿAli ibn al-Husayn say—on the authority of ⦗21⦘ his father, from ʿAli ibn Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him—that the Messenger of Allah ⦗22⦘ ﷺ said:

“Waiting in hopeful expectation for deliverance from Allah is worship, and whoever is content with a small allotment of provision, Allah will be content with a small allotment of deeds from him.”
