53. Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us; he said: Muhammad ibn Jaʿfar al-Madaʾini narrated to us; he said: Shuʿbah informed us, from ʿUthman ibn Saliṭ, who said:

“Ibn ʿUmar used to invite people suffering from leprosy to eat with him and would remark, ‘Perhaps one of these will prove to be an angel on the Day of Resurrection.’”
