49 – Muhammad said: Khalid ibn ʿAmr al-Umawi narrated to us; he said, “I heard Khulaid ibn Daʿlaj relate from Muhammad ibn Wasiʿ, who said: ‘Whoever limits his food intake will grasp matters and enable others to grasp them; he will become clear-sighted and gentle. In truth, excessive eating weighs a person down and hinders him from much of what he hopes to achieve.’”
