- Muhammad ibn ʿUmar ibn ʿAlī al-Muqaddamī narrated to me; he said: I heard Yusuf ibn ʿAṭiyya ibn Bab al-Ṣaffār report; he said: I heard Mālik ibn Dīnār say, “If ashes could make it down my throat, I would eat them.”
٤٤ - حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ يُوسُفَ بْنَ عَطِيَّةَ بْنِ بَابِ الصَّفَّارِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مَالِكُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، يَقُولُ: «لَوْ كَانَ الرَّمَادُ يَدْخُلُ فِي حَلْقِي لَأَكَلْتُهُ»
