38 – Hārūn b. ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; Siyyār narrated to us; Jaʿfar narrated to us; and Yūsuf b. Yaʿqūb … both of them said:

“It has reached us that Allah — Majestic and Sublime — will say to His close servants (awliyāʾ) on the Day of Resurrection:

‘O My close servants! How often I watched over you in the world while your eyes were sunken, your lips withheld from drink, and your stomachs empty. So pass the cup among yourselves and, today, eat and drink in contentment:

“Eat and drink with satisfaction for what you used to send ahead in days gone by.” (Qur’an 69:24)’”}
