273 – Zakariyya ibn al-Harith ibn Maymun al-‘Abdi narrated to us; he said: Wahb ibn Jarir related to us, from his father, who said: I heard Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir recount on the authority of Jabir ibn ‘Abd Allah:
We went in to see Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him). He called for some food, but none was available, so he ordered that a sheep be brought. It was milked for us and then cooked. He ate, and we ate with him. After that he performed the prayer without renewing his ablution.
