267 – Al-Mufaddal ibn Ghassan narrated to us, from al-Asmaʿi, from Ishaq ibn Ibrahim, who said: “I entered upon Kahmas the Devout. He set before us eleven red dates and remarked, ‘This is the utmost your brother can offer; Allah is the One whose help is sought.’”
٢٦٧ - حَدَّثَنَا الْمُفَضَّلُ بْنُ غَسَّانَ، عَنِ الْأَصْمَعِيِّ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: دَخَلْتُ عَلَى كَهْمَسٍ الْعَابِدٍ فَقَدَّمَ إِلَيْنَا إِحْدَى عَشْرَةَ بُسْرَةً حُمُرًا، فَقَالَ: «هَذَا الْجَهْدُ مِنْ أَخِيكِمْ، وَاللَّهُ الْمُسْتَعَانُ»
