Al-Ju'Ibn Abi al-Dunya

253 – Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥusayn said: Muḥammad ibn al-ʿAlāʾ ibn Ṣāliḥ—and others—narrated to me, from al-Mubārak ibn Saʿīd, from a man who said:

“We went to Abū Ḥuṣayn, and he said to his wife, ‘Bring us whatever you have.’ She sent out a loaf of bread on a tray, part of which had already been eaten, along with a bone that still had a little meat on it. He then told us, ‘Help yourselves to this, for by Allah, we woke up this morning with nothing else in the house.’”
