235 – Muḥammad ibn Dāwūd al-Qanṭarī narrated to me: Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Muqriʾ stopped us in Mecca at the dwelling of an elder and said, “It was he who related that report to them.” He then transmitted to us a hadith with its chain, stating: “Beware of the food of kings, for their food is a trial like the trial of the Antichrist’s food; whoever eats it will have his heart overturned.”
