229 – Muhammad ibn Idris related to me, saying: “Sunaid ibn Dawud narrated to us, saying: ‘Jaʿfar ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from Malik ibn Dinar, who said: When his death approached, he prayed, “O Allah, I trust that You know from the depths of my heart that I do not cherish life, nor do I dread death, on account of my stomach or my private parts.”’”
