227 - Muhammad said: Sura b. Qudāmah al-Aswārī narrated to us; he said: Ḥayyān b. al-Aswad narrated to us, from ʿAbd al-Khāliq b. Mūsā al-Laqīṭī, who said: “Yazīd al-Raqāshī kept himself hungry for Allah for sixty years, until his body shriveled, his frame grew exhausted, and his complexion changed. Yet he would say, ‘My belly has overpowered me, and I can find no stratagem against it.’”
