223 – Muhammad said: Muʿadh Abū ʿAwn narrated to us, saying, “I heard Bahīm Abū Bakr al-Kūfī, the devout worshipper, say: ‘It has reached us that on the Day of Resurrection those who made themselves go hungry for Allah will be gathered in a lofty, elevated place, set apart from the rest of mankind. A table will then be laid for them, and it will be said, “Eat, with every delight, in recompense for the hunger you bore for Allah’s sake in the world.”’ He added, ‘So they will indeed eat and drink while the rest of creation is still undergoing the Reckoning.’
