214 – Surayj ibn Yunus told me, saying: “Muhammad ibn Humayd narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Abu Hayyan, from Tamim ibn Hadhlam, who said: ⦗136⦘ ‘Leave them and the earth’s resin—meaning gold and silver—eat from your own broken pieces of bread, and drink your own sweet water; for if they were able, they would drive you into unbelief and wipe you out.’”
