Hadith 211 — Ibrāhīm b. Saʿīd al-Jawharī narrated to me; he said: Abū al-Yamān narrated to us, from Ismāʿīl b. ʿAyyāsh, from Muḥammad b. Ṭalḥah, from ʿUthmān b. Yaḥyā, from Ibn ʿAbbās, who said: ⦗134⦘ “The very first time we heard of falūdhaj was when Gabriel—peace be upon him—came to the Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said, ‘The earth will be opened up for your community and the bounties of this world will be poured upon them, until they will even eat falūdhaj.’ The Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, asked, ‘What is falūdhaj?’ He replied, ‘They mix clarified butter and honey together.’ At this the Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, let out a deep gasp…"
٢١١ - حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانَ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنَ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: ⦗١٣٤⦘ أَوَّلُ مَا سَمِعْنَا بِالْفَالُوذَجِ، أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ، أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ أُمَّتَكَ تُفْتَحُ لَهُمُ الْأَرْضُ، وَيُفَاضُ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا، حَتَّى إِنَّهُمْ لَيَأْكُلُونَ الْفَالُوذَجَ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: «وَمَا الْفَالُوذَجُ؟» ، قَالَ: يَخْلِطُونَ السَّمْنَ وَالْعَسَلَ جَمِيعًا، فَشَهِقَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ شَهْقَةً
