190 – Surayj related to me: Hushaym related to us, saying: ʿAwf narrated from al-Hasan, who said: ʿUmar once entered upon his son and found some freshly slaughtered meat before him. He asked, “What is this?” His son replied, “We felt a craving for meat, so we bought a dirham’s worth.” ʿUmar said, “Do you buy meat every time you crave it? It is extravagance enough for a person to eat whenever he desires.”
