173 – Ismaʿil ibn Ibrahim ibn Bassam narrated to us; he said: ʿAli ibn Thabit related to us ⦗114⦘ from ʿAbd al-Hamid ibn Jaʿfar, from ʿAbd Allah ibn al-Hasan, from his mother, from Fatimah, daughter of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). She said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “The worst of my community are those brought up in luxury: those who dine on varied delicacies, wear garments of many colors, and speak with affected grandiosity.”
