157 – Muhammad said: Muhammad ibn Jaʿfar al-Madāʾinī narrated to us, from Bakr ibn Khunays, from ʿAbd Allah al-Shāmī, from Makḥūl, who said: “The most excellent act of worship, after the prescribed duties, is to bear hunger and thirst.”
