19 – ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Yaḥyā narrated to us; he said: ʿAlī ibn Thābit al-Jazarī narrated to us, from al-Walīd ibn ʿAmr ibn Sāj, from ʿAwn ibn Abī Juḥayfah, from his father, who said:

“I had eaten wheat bread with meat cooked in ghee, then I went to the Prophet ﷺ and belched. He said, ‘Restrain your belching, for the ones among you who are the most satiated here will be the hungriest on the Day of Resurrection.’ ⦗41⦘”

He continued, “From that moment, Abū Juḥayfah never again ate to his full until he left this world.”
