2 – Abu ʿAli al-Hasan ibn ʿArafah narrated to us; he said: Abu ʿAsim al-ʿAbbādānī narrated to us, from al-Muḥabbar ibn Harun, from Abu Yazid al-Madanī, from ʿAbd al-Raḥman ibn al-Murraqqaʿ, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Allah, Exalted and Majestic, has not created any vessel which—once filled—is worse than the stomach. If it must be filled, then let a third be for food, a third for drink, and a third for air.”
