- al-Hasan ibn Maḥbūb also reported to us, saying: al-Fayḍ ibn Isḥāq narrated to us, who said: Hudhayfa al-Marʿashī related that Mālik ibn Dīnār said, “Do you notice any weakness in my mind or my body?” They replied, “No.” ⦗84⦘ He went on, “The season of fresh dates has come and gone; I did not eat a single one, and it has caused me no harm.”
١١٢ - وَقَالَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مَحْبُوبٍ: حَدَّثَنَا الْفَيْضُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ: قَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ الْمَرْعَشِيُّ قَالَ: مَالِكُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ: «تَذْكُرُونَ مِنْ عَقْلِي وَجِسْمِي شَيْئًا؟» ، قَالُوا: لَا، ⦗٨٤⦘ قَالَ: «قَدْ جَاءَ الرُّطَبُ وَذَهَبَ، مَا أَكَلْتُ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا، وَمَا ضَرَّنِي»
