And Allah Most High says:

{When Allah’s help and the victory come, and you see people entering Allah’s religion in throngs, then glorify your Lord with praise and seek His forgiveness. Indeed, He is ever Accepting of repentance.}

(1) Those whom the Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—saw entering Allah’s religion in throngs were the people who lived in his time.

And Allah Most High says:

{He is the One who supported you with His help and with the believers, and united their hearts.}

[Surah al-Anfāl: 62–63]

It was through the Companions that He supported him during his lifetime.

And Allah Most High says:

{The one who brought the truth and affirmed it—it is they who are mindful of Allah. They will have whatever they desire with their Lord. That is the reward of those who do good, so that Allah may absolve them of the worst they did and reward them according to the best of what they used to do.}

[Surah al-Zumar: 33–35]

This class—those who speak the truth and affirm it—is the opposite of those who fabricate lies or deny the truth when it comes to them, as we shall discuss both at length (2), Allah willing.

The Companions who testified (3) that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and that the Quran is true (4), are the best of those who brought the truth and affirmed it after the prophets.
