Also in Sahīh Muslim, Umm Salamah reported that the Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—said:

“There will be rulers, some of whose deeds you will approve and others you will condemn. Whoever recognizes their wrongdoing will be absolved, and whoever condemns it will be safe—but not whoever is pleased with it and follows them.”

They asked, “Should we not take up arms against them?”

He replied:

“No, so long as they pray.” (1)

It also records that the Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—said:

“Whoever is governed by a ruler and sees him committing an act of disobedience to Allah should condemn that act of disobedience to Allah, but must never withdraw his hand from obedience.” (2)

Part Two follows, Allah willing, and begins:

The Rāfidī author said: “The Second Chapter: On the Obligation to Follow the Imāmiyyah School.”

وَفِي صَحِيحِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ: " «سَيَكُونُ أُمَرَاءُ تَعْرِفُونَ وَتُنْكِرُونَ، فَمَنْ عَرَفَ بَرِئَ، وَمَنْ أَنْكَرَ سَلِمَ، وَلَكِنْ مَنْ رَضِيَ وَتَابَعَ " . قَالُوا: أَفَلَا نُنَابِذُهُمْ؟ قَالَ: " لَا مَا صَلَّوْا» " (١) . وَفِيهِ أَيْضًا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ: " «مَنْ وَلِيَ عَلَيْهِ وَالٍ فَرَآهُ يَأْتِي شَيْئًا مِنْ مَعْصِيَةِ اللَّهِ، فَلْيُنْكِرْ مَا يَأْتِي مِنْ مَعْصِيَةِ اللَّهِ، وَلَا يَنْزِعَنَّ يَدًا مِنْ طَاعَةٍ» " (٢) . تَمَّ الْجُزْءُ الْأَوَّلُ بِحَمْدِ اللَّهِ، وَيَلِيهِ الْجُزْءُ الثَّانِي إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ وَأَوَّلُهُ: قَالَ الْمُصَنِّفُ الرَّافِضِيُّ: الْفَصْلُ الثَّانِي فِي أَنَّ مَذْهَبَ الْإِمَامِيَّةِ وَاجِبُ الِاتِّبَاعِ.
