deny anyone what is rightfully his (1). This concludes what we intended (2) to set forth in this introduction (3).”
The response is as follows:
These words contain lies, slander, and fabrication the like of which is not known among any Muslim group. There is no doubt that the Rāfidah bear a strong resemblance to the Jews: they are a people given to slander who seek to extinguish Allah’s light with their mouths, but Allah insists on perfecting His light, even though the disbelievers detest it.
The merits of the two elders of Islam, Abū Bakr and ‘Umar, are far more evident to every rational person than those of anyone else. These Rāfidah seek to turn the truth on its head, and they fall within the scope of the words of Allah Most High:
“So who is more unjust than one who lies about Allah and rejects the truth when it comes to him?” [Surah al-Zumar: 32]
“So who is more unjust than one who fabricates a lie against Allah or denies His signs? Indeed, the criminals will not succeed.” [Surah Yūnus: 17]
And other verses of this kind.
Indeed (4), these people are among the sects most given to denying the truth and believing falsehood; no one in the Muslim community rivals them in this regard.
