Likewise, Saʿīd ibn Zayd’s supplications were answered. Hammād ibn Zayd narrated from Hishām ibn ʿUrwa, from his father, that Arwā bint Aws lodged a complaint with Marwān against Saʿīd, saying:
“He stole part of my land and incorporated it into his own.”
Saʿīd said:

She lost her sight and died on her own land (1).
Al-Barāʾ ibn Mālik would invoke Allah with an oath, and Allah would fulfil his oath, as stated in an authentic report:
“Among Allah’s servants are those who, if they invoked Allah with an oath, He would fulfil it. Al-Barāʾ ibn Mālik is one of them.” (2)
Al-ʿAlāʾ ibn al-Hadramī, the representative in Bahrain of the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—and subsequently of Abū Bakr—may Allah be pleased with him—was renowned for having his supplications answered. Ibn Abī al-Dunyā narrated through his chain of transmission that Sahm ibn Minjāb said:

He continued:
We travelled with him and stopped to camp. We sought water for ablution but could find none. He stood and prayed two units of prayer, then supplicated to Allah, saying:
“O Allah, O All-Knowing, O All-Wise, O Most High, O Magnificent, we are Your servants, fighting Your enemy in Your cause. Send us rain from which we may drink
