Some ignorant people have also claimed that he stretched out his hand so that the army crossed over it at Khaybar, and that he said to the mule:
“May Allah cut off your progeny.”
Its line then came to an end. This is an obvious lie. On the day of Khaybar, they had no mule with them, and during the lifetime of the Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—the Muslims had no mule other than his own, which al-Muqawqis gave him. That was after the campaign of Khaybar, after he had sent messages to the nations and to the kings of the world (1): Heraclius, king of Syria; al-Muqawqis, king of Egypt; and Chosroes, king of Persia. He also sent messages to the Arab kings (2), such as the ruler of al-Yamāmah and others.
Moreover, not a single member of the army crossed over Alī’s hand or anyone else’s. The mule had always been barren even before that; it was not as though it had previously given birth and then became barren. Even if it were assumed that he had prayed against a particular mule, that prayer would not have encompassed the entire species of mules.
Comparable to this manifest lie is the claim made by certain liars that, when some members of the Prophet’s Household were taken captive, they were carried naked on camels; from that day onward, humps grew on those camels, and these are the Khurasanian camels. Yet no member of the Prophet’s Household was ever taken captive under Islam, nor was any of their women ever carried with her private parts exposed. This has happened to the Prophet’s Household only in these present times because of the Rāfidah, as elite and common people alike well know.
Indeed, this falsehood resembles the lie told by one who claims that al-Hajjāj killed the Hashimite nobles. Yet al-Hajjāj (3) did not kill a single member of Banū Hāshim, despite his injustice and his murderous attacks on many of
