Moreover, the most hypocritical of all people have joined their ranks, including Nusayris, Ismailis, and others like them—people whose inward unbelief and enmity toward Allah and His Messenger exceed even those of the Jews and Christians.

These and similar matters are manifest and widely known to the learned and the general public alike. They plainly reveal that the Rāfidah stand apart from the Muslims, have departed from the religion, and have entered the ranks of the unbelievers and hypocrites. Indeed, anyone who has observed their condition regards them as another kind altogether, distinct from the Muslims. For it is the great body of Muslims who have upheld Islam in the East and West, past and present, whereas the Rāfidah strive only to demolish Islam, sever its bonds, and corrupt its foundations. Whatever measure of Islam remains among them has endured only because the great body of Muslims has upheld it.

This is why recitation of the Quran is rare among them, and whoever memorizes it well has learned it only from Ahl al-Sunnah. Hadith likewise is known(1), truthfully reported, and received only from Ahl al-Sunnah. The same applies to jurisprudence, worship, asceticism, and jihad. Fighting is undertaken only by the armies of Ahl al-Sunnah. It is through them that Allah has preserved the religion in knowledge and practice—through their scholars, worshippers, and fighters(2).

The Rāfidah are among the people most ignorant of Islam. No individual among them has any distinctive quality(3) except what pleases an enemy of Islam and grieves one of its allies. Accordingly, their record in Islam
