Fifth:
We have already explained (1), from several angles, the invalidity of claims of this kind. This account is a lie against the Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—on numerous grounds. Here, however, they have inserted many additions (2) that they did not mention there, namely the words:
“And let him share my task”
[Sūrat Tā Hā: 32]
They have thereby expressly declared (3) that Ali was the Prophet’s partner in his mission, just as Aaron was Moses’ partner. This is the position of those who maintain that Ali was a prophet, and it is manifest disbelief. It is not the position of the Imamis; rather, it is the position of the extremists.
A partner in his mission is not the same as a successor who comes after him. They claim that Ali’s imamate followed the Prophet, whereas his partnership in the Prophet’s mission would have been during the Prophet’s lifetime. Although these Imamis declare anyone who says that Ali shared in the Prophet’s prophethood to be an unbeliever, they nevertheless bolster their doctrine and swell their ranks with people whom they believe (4) to be guilty of unbelief and error, and with teachings they believe to constitute unbelief and error. This is due to their extreme hostility to the religion, their opposition to the Muslim community, their hatred of the foremost among Allah’s God-fearing allies, and their belief that those people are apostates.
They are as the proverb says:
“She accused me of her own ailment, then slipped away.”
This lying Rāfidī says:
“This is an explicit text on the matter.”
He should be told:
“You wretch! This text states that Ali was the Prophet’s partner in his mission during his lifetime, just as Aaron was Moses’ partner. Do you accept what this text entails? Or will you desist from invoking the lies of fabricators and the absurdities of your brethren who espouse falsehood?”
