The Christians include many who fabricate lies against Allah, while the Jews include many who deny the truth. He, Glorified is He, mentioned the one who denies the truth as a second category, because He had not initially mentioned every kind of lie; rather, He mentioned the one who lies about Allah. When you reflect on this and realize that both lying about Allah and denying the truth are blameworthy, and that (1) no one deserves praise except one who brings the truth and affirms it, you will understand that this is among the means by which Allah has guided His servants to His straight path.
