Yet Allah Most High sent the Messiah only with the religion of Islam (1), just as He sent all the other messengers with the religion of Islam: the worship of Allah alone, without any partner.
The Most High said:
{Ask those of Our messengers whom We sent before you: Did We ever appoint gods besides the Most Merciful to be worshipped?}
[Surah al-Zukhruf: 45]
The Most High also said:
{We never sent any messenger before you without revealing to him: “There is no deity but Me, so worship Me.”}
[Surah al-Anbiyā: 25]
And the Most High said:
{We certainly sent a messenger to every nation, proclaiming: “Worship Allah and shun false gods.” Some of them Allah guided, while others were inevitably overtaken by misguidance.}
[Surah al-Nahl: 36]
Allah Most High has informed us concerning Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus son of Mary (2), and the other messengers and believers [down to the time of] the disciples (3), that their religion was Islam. The Most High said concerning Noah [peace be upon him] (4):
{If my presence among you and my reminding you of Allah’s signs have become unbearable to you, then I have placed my trust in Allah. So settle your plan together with your partners, leaving no uncertainty in your course of action; then carry it out against me and grant me no respite. If you turn away, I have asked you for no reward. My reward rests only with Allah, and I have been commanded to be among the Muslims.}
[Surah Yūnus: 71, 72] (5)
And [the Most High] said concerning [Abraham], the Intimate Friend [peace and blessings be upon him] (6):
