He has also said:
“The people of the Fire and the people of Paradise are not equal. It is the people of Paradise who are triumphant.”
[Surah al-Hashr: 20].
And He said:
“The blind and the seeing are not equal, nor are darkness and light, nor shade and scorching heat. Nor are the living and the dead equal.”
[Surah Fātir: 19–22].
And He said:
“Shall We then treat those who submit to Allah like the criminals? What is the matter with you? How do you judge?”
[Surah al-Qalam: 35–36].
And He said:
“Or shall We treat those who believe and do righteous deeds like those who spread corruption on earth? Or shall We treat the God-fearing like the wicked?”
[Surah Sād: 28].
And He said:
“Do those who commit evil deeds suppose that We will make them like those who believe and do righteous deeds, equal in their life and death? Evil indeed is their judgment.”
[Surah al-Jāthiya: 21].
He created both wholesome and foul things, but wholesome things are not (1) like foul things, nor are fruits and grains like urine and excrement. To Him—Glory be to Him—ascends good speech, and righteous deeds raise it up. He is Pure and accepts only what is pure; He is Clean and loves cleanliness; and He is Beautiful and loves beauty. Not everything He has created ascends to Him or is [pure] (2), beloved to Him, and pleasing in His sight. Rather, He admits into His Paradise only those who are suited and fit for it; and the same applies to the Fire. Exalted is He, and He has said:
“You have become pure, so enter it, abiding forever.”
[Surah al-Zumar: 73].
