A sign (1) of this is that the affliction of the Rāfidah is the same as that of the Jews. The [Jews] (2) said, “Kingship is rightfully confined to the House of David,” while the Rāfidah said, “The imamate is rightfully confined to
(1) A and B read: “and He supported.”
(2) A and L read: “The Jews said”; N and M read: “They said” (without the word “the Jews”).
وَآيَةُ
(١)
ذَلِكَ أَنَّ مِحْنَةَ الرَّافِضَةِ مِحْنَةُ الْيَهُودِ، قَالَتِ
[الْيَهُودُ]
(٢)
: لَا يَصْلُحُ الْمُلْكُ إِلَّا فِي آلِ دَاوُدَ،
وَقَالَتِ الرَّافِضَةُ:
لَا تَصْلُحُ الْإِمَامَةُ إِلَّا فِي
(١) أ، ب: وَأَيَّدَ.
(٢) أ، ل: قَالُوا الْيَهُودُ؛ ن، م: قَالُوا: (بِدُونِ كَلِمَةِ الْيَهُودِ) .
