But these Rāfidah, in their denial of this (1) and their ignorance of it, are no different from when they deny the fact (2) that Abū Bakr and Umar were buried beside the Prophet—may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him—or deny Abū Bakr and Umar’s loyalty (3) to the Prophet—may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him—while claiming that he explicitly designated Alī as caliph. Indeed, some of them even deny that Zaynab, Ruqayyah, and Umm Kulthūm were daughters of the Prophet—may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him—and say:
“They were Khadījah’s daughters by the unbelieving husband she had before the Prophet—may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him.”
Some of them say:
“Umar took Alī’s daughter by force until Alī gave her to him in marriage, and he married her by force under Islam.”
Others say:
“They slashed Fātimah’s abdomen, causing her to miscarry, and brought down the roof of her house upon those inside.”
These and similar lies are known to be false by anyone possessing even the slightest knowledge and understanding. They continually make a point of denying well-known matters established by mass transmission, while affirming things that never occurred and have no basis in reality. Thus, Allah Most High’s words apply to them in the fullest measure:
“Who is more unjust than one who fabricates a lie against Allah or denies the truth?”
Surat al-Ankabūt.
They fabricate lies and deny the truth; such is the condition of apostates.
They claim that Abū Bakr, Umar, and everyone who followed them apostatized from Islam (4). Yet the elite and the common alike know that Abū Bakr was the one who fought the apostates. If, then, they claim that the people of al-Yamāmah were wronged and killed unjustly, and they reject the fighting against those men,
