Allah Most High says:
“Those who disbelieve and turn others away from the path of Allah—He causes their deeds to come to nothing. As for those who believe, do righteous deeds, and believe in what was revealed to Muhammad—and it is the truth from their Lord—He expiates their misdeeds and sets their condition aright. That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood, whereas those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Thus does Allah set forth their likenesses for mankind.”

The same applies to the Christian (1) in relation to the Messiah: when (2) he loves him while believing that he is God—when in fact he was a servant—he has loved something that has no reality. Once it becomes clear to him that the Messiah was a servant and messenger (3), he will not truly have loved him and therefore will not be with him.
The same applies to anyone who loves the Companions [and the Followers] (4) and the righteous while holding false beliefs about them: his love for that falsehood is itself false. When it becomes clear to them on the Day of Resurrection that Alī was not superior to any one of these men, that the most that could be said was that he was close in rank to one of them (7), that he acknowledged their imamate and merit, that neither he nor they were infallible (8), and that he had not been explicitly designated for
