al-Hasan al-Dāraqutnī, [Abū Abd Allāh] ibn Mandah (1), Abū al-Husayn ibn Samūn (2), Abū Tālib al-Makkī, Abū Abd al-Rahmān al-Sulamī, and their peers.
Whatever group among the various groups of Ahl al-Sunnah one examines, one finds it (3) more knowledgeable, more just, and further removed from ignorance and injustice than the Rāfidah (4). Any support for an oppressor found among one of these groups is found to a greater degree among the Rāfidah; and any distance [whatsoever] among the Shi‘ah from (5) an oppressor’s injustice is found to a greater degree among these groups.
This is attested by direct observation and reliable report for anyone who reflects and considers. Among all the groups, none (6) are more mendacious, unjust, or ignorant than they are. Their own shaykhs openly acknowledge this, saying, “O Ahl al-Sunnah, you possess magnanimity. If we gained power over you, we would not treat you (7) as you treat us when you have power over us.”
