Minhaj as-SunnahIbn Taimiya

It is also well known that he and his followers recklessly disregarded (1) Islam’s obligations and prohibitions. They did not observe the obligatory duties, such as the prayers (2), nor did they desist (3) from what Allah had forbidden, including sexual immorality, wine (4), and other evils. Indeed, those acquainted with them know what has been reported of their neglecting the prayers, committing (5) sexual immorality, and drinking wine (6) during Ramadan. They attained power and prominence only in alliance with the polytheists, whose religion is worse than that of the Jews and Christians.

For this reason, it was the case (7) that whenever Islam grew strong among the Mongols and the other Turks, the influence of these people declined because of their intense hostility (8) toward Islam and its adherents. Consequently, they were among those of lowest standing with Emir Nawrūz (9), the martyred warrior in the cause of Allah, who called Ghāzān (10), king of the Mongols, to Islam, pledged to him (11) that he would support him if he embraced Islam, and killed those polytheists among the Bakhshiyya sorcerers and others who did not embrace Islam,
