The angels descend to the earth and then ascend (1) to heaven, as the texts attesting to this have been mass-transmitted (2). [Allah] (3) sent them down on the day of Badr, the day of Hunayn, and the day of the Trench to support His Messenger and the believers (4), as the Exalted says:
“When you cried to your Lord for help, He answered you, ‘I will reinforce you with a thousand angels, following one another.’”
[Surah al-Anfāl: 9]

[Surah al-Zukhruf: 80]
And He says:

And Allah the Exalted says:
“If only you could see when the angels take the souls of those who disbelieved, striking their faces and their backs.”
