for He is indeed the Most Generous, the All-Munificent.
As for the ḥadiths:
74 – The first is narrated by Ibn ʿAbbās, may Allah be pleased with him. He said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, declared, “The nations were displayed before me. I saw a prophet accompanied by a small band—fewer than ten persons; another prophet with only one or two followers; and a prophet who had not a single follower. Then a vast multitude was raised before me and I thought they were my community, but it was said to me, ‘This is Moses and his people. Look toward the horizon.’ I looked, and there was a huge throng. I was then told, ‘Look toward the other horizon,’ and I saw yet another huge throng. It was said, ‘These are your people, and with them are seventy thousand who will enter Paradise without reckoning and without punishment.’”
The Prophet then rose and went into his house, and the people began discussing who those seventy thousand might be. Some said, “Perhaps they are those who kept company with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him.” Others said, “Perhaps they are those who were born into Islam and never associated anything with Allah,” and they mentioned other possibilities.
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came out and asked, “What are you talking about?” They informed him, whereupon he said, “They are those who do not perform ruqyah (incantations for healing), do not ask others for ruqyah, and do not take evil omens; instead, they place their trust in their Lord.”
ʿUkkāshah ibn Miḥṣan stood up and said, “Pray to Allah to make me one of them.” The Prophet replied, “You are one of them.” Then another man rose and said, “Pray to Allah to make me one of them.” The Prophet said, “ʿUkkāshah has already preceded you.”
Agreed upon (reported by al-Bukhārī and Muslim).
