Allah does not exist, and similar blasphemies—nothing short of that. These acts of disobedience, in and of themselves, raze the creed to the ground, for a person ends up like an ox or a donkey, heedless of creed and worship alike, absorbed instead in this world, its glitter, and in women.

A sound hadith states, “I have not left after me any trial more harmful to men than women.”

Therefore, we—praise be to Allah, a Muslim nation—must oppose such ideas and stand against them wherever and whenever they appear. We are keenly aware that among us are people—may Allah neither increase their number nor let them attain their goal—who want exactly this, who seek to sow discord and evil in this peaceful, conservative Muslim land. They know full well that the last stronghold of the Muslims is this very country, home to the sanctities of Islam and the qiblah of the Muslims. Their aim is to corrupt it so that the entire Muslim community will be corrupted. All Muslims look toward this land to see what it does; if modesty and religion collapse here, then farewell to them—and farewell to faith and modesty as well.

For that reason, my brothers, it is incumbent upon us—youth and elders, scholars and students alike—to challenge these notions and to rally everyone against them, lest they spread among us like wildfire and consume us all. We ask Allah, exalted be He, to turn the scheming of those who plot such affairs back upon their own necks, to deny them their objective, and to suppress them through righteous men until their fitnah is extinguished. Truly, He is the Most Generous, the All-Bountiful.
