It was likewise recorded by al-Burqani in his Sahih, on the authority of Salman, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Do not be the first to enter the marketplace, nor the last to leave it, for it is there that Satan lays his eggs and rears his young.”
1843 – ʿAsim al-Aḥwal related from ʿAbd Allah ibn Sarjis, may Allah be pleased with him: He said, “I said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, ‘O Messenger of Allah, may Allah forgive you!’ He replied, ‘And may He forgive you as well.’” ʿAsim continued, “So I asked him, ‘Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ seek forgiveness for you?’ He answered, ‘Yes—and for you too,’ and then he recited: ‘So seek forgiveness for your own sin and for the believing men and believing women’ ⦗Qur’an 47:19⦘.” Recorded by Muslim.
1844 – Abu Masʿud al-Ansari, may Allah be pleased with him, reported that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Among the words that people have inherited from the earliest prophecy is: ‘If you feel no shame, then do as you wish.’” Recorded by al-Bukhari.
