Chapter: The Prohibition of Men Imitating Women and Women Imitating Men in Dress, Movement, and the Like
1631 – Ibn ʿAbbās (may Allah be pleased with them both) reported: “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the effeminate men and the masculinized women.” In another wording: “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the men who imitate women and the women who imitate men.” Al-Bukhārī recorded it.
1632 – Abū Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the man who wears a woman’s attire and the woman who wears a man’s attire.” Abū Dāwūd narrated it with a sound chain.
1633 – Abū Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) also reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “There are two categories of the people of Hell that I have not yet seen: a people who have whips like the tails of cattle with which they lash others, and women who are clothed yet naked, swaying and causing others to sway, with heads that look like the humps of tilted Bactrian camels. They will neither enter Paradise nor smell its fragrance, even though its fragrance can be detected from a great distance.” Muslim recorded it.
