1594 – Jābir (Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, “Satan has despaired of being worshipped by those who pray in the Arabian Peninsula, but he is still eager to stir up discord among them.” Muslim narrated it.
At-taḥrīsh means: sowing corruption, turning their hearts against one another, and driving them to mutual estrangement.
1595 – Abū Hurayrah (Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “It is not lawful for a Muslim to shun his brother for more than three days; whoever shuns him for more than three and then dies (in that state) will enter the Fire.” Abū Dāwūd narrated it with a chain that meets Bukhārī’s criteria.
1596 – Abū Khirāsh Ḥadrad ibn Abī Ḥadrad al-Aslamī—also said to be al-Sulamī—the Companion (Allah be pleased with him) heard the Prophet ﷺ say, “Whoever shuns his brother for a full year, it is as though he has shed his blood.” Abū Dāwūd narrated it with a sound chain.
