1474 – Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say:

“O Allah, I seek refuge in You from incapacity, laziness, cowardice, decrepitude, and stinginess. I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, and I seek refuge in You from the trials of life and death.”

In another wording: “…and from the burden of debt and the domination of men.”
